
Carollo Engineers has designed groundwater treatment facilities for the removal of various compounds from domestic water supplies throughout the United States. Treatment processes have included air stripping, conventional granular activated carbon (GAC) adsorption, biologically enhanced activated carbon (BAC), ion exchange, membrane filtration processes, reverse osmosis and oxidation/filtration. Compounds have included solvents, pesticides, color, and inorganic chemicals such as iron, manganese, total dissolved solids (TDS) and arsenic. Projects have ranged up to 6,000 gpm in capacity.
