Hani Michel, P.E. – Austin, TX
Hani has 29 years of experience in civil/structural engineering and project management. He retired from the City of Austin after 20 years where he acquired knowledge of water and wastewater treatment facilities, a thorough understanding of the City’s existing water treatment and distribution systems, wastewater collection and treatment, and knowledge of the City’s preferences and requirements. This knowledge has resulted in quality, cost-effective, and flexible expansion designs. His engineering and management skills are respected and trusted, and his practical advise is sought after for designs that are practical, easily maintained and operated, and simply constructed. He holds a BSCE from Cairo University and an MBA in Business Management from St. Edwards University.

Thomas Gillogly, Ph.D., P.E. – Las Vegas, NV
Thomas has experience managing and conducting desktop, bench-scale, pilot-scale, and full-scale projects investigating water quality and regulartory compliance issues. His expertise focuses on the control of disinfection by-products, inorganic contaminancts, taste-and-odor causing compounds, and synthetic organic compounds. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Carnigie-Mellon University, an M.S. in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign.

James Doering, P.E., S.E. – Orange County, CA
James is a registered structural engineer. He has experience in structural analysis, design, retrofit, and evaluation for a variety of structures, including wastewater and water treatment facilities, auto dealerships, business parks, churches, industrial facilities, office buildings, parking structures, post-tensioned concrete structures, research and technology facilities, retail shopping centers, warehouses, and custom residences. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California–Irvine and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California–Berkeley.

Han Kang, P.E. – Orange County, CA
Han, an environmental engineer, has provided engineering design for major chemical feed and support systems for large treatment plant projects. He holds a B.S. in Water Quality and M.S. in Water/Wastewater Treatment from the University of California–Berkeley.

Judd Hunemuller, P.E. – Phoenix, AZ
Judd has more than 20 years of experience in the management, planning and design, and construction of water, wastewater, storm water, and solid waste facilities. He has extensive experience dealing with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and other local government agencies. He has worked as project manager and project engineer on municipal master planning documents, pipelines, pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, solid waste handling facilities and landfills, storm water collection and disposal facilities. He also has extensive construction management experience. Judd holds a B.S. in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University.

Dana Trompke, P.E. – Phoenix, AZ
Dana has over 13 years of experience providing civil engineering services for water and wastewater projects. Her experience includes master planning, capacity studies, design, permitting, and construction administration services for water and wastewater treatment plants and infrastructure. Using software such as Biotran, WaterCAD, and SureTrak, she is proficient in process and hydraulic modeling, and project scheduling. Dana holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Arizona State University.

Christopher Cleveland, P.E. – Sacramento, CA
Christopher has over 11 years of experience providing water treatment process studies, design, master planning, pilot testing, engineering, and construction services for water, wastewater and reclaimed water treatment plants using technologies such as UV disinfection, membrane filtration, direct filtration, and conventional treatment. He has designed over 400 million gallons per day of installed plant capacity. Christopher holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University.

David Weber, P.E. – Sacramento, CA
David has over 25 years of experience in electrical engineering, including computer programming and system administration. His experience includes projects involving industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, communications, and computer systems. The majority of these efforts have involved water and wastewater facilities. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Vilanova University.

Cory Christiansen, P.E. – Salt Lake City, UT
Cory has eight years of experience in the design of water treatment and distribution systems, and wastewater treatment facilities. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Northern Arizona University and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University.

Brian Adams, P.E. – San Antonio, TX
Brian is the office manager for Carollo's San Antonio office. He has experience in infrastructure planning, design, and construction including water and wastewater transmission facilities, and water/wastewater collection, treatment, and storage facilities. Brian holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas–Austin.

Jess Brown, Ph.D., P.E. – Sarasota, FL
Jess manages Carollo's Research Group and is one of Carollo's biological drinking water treatment experts. He has 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment. He specializes in drinking water process and applied research, and has extensive experience with analytical chemistry, water quality testing methods, and process selection. Dr. Brown has performed bench-, pilot-, and full-scale studies covering conventional treatment to advanced processes. Jess holds a B.A. in Environmental Science and Public Policy, a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana–Champaign.

Charles Dougherty, P.E. – Seattle, WA
Charles has 28 years of experirence in the performance of civil engineering analysis and preparation of resultant plans and specificaitons. He specializes in project development and management for infrastructure projects ranging from process-intesnsive facilities to pipelines, reservoirs and pump stations. His water treatement experience begins with pilot and bench-scale studies through feasibility assessments and project design and construction of full-scale facilities. He has designed both direct and conventional water treatment plants, including coagulation, lime softening, chemical addition, anthracite and granular ativated carbon filtraion, chlorination and ozonation facilities. In addition, Charles has studied existing and emerging treatment technologies for reclamation of combined sewer overflow (CSO) water, with desired water quality ranging from irrigation to indirect potable reuse. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the Unviversity of Florida.

Jamshid Dorafsha, P.E. – Walnut Creek, CA
Jamshid is the chief electrical engineer for Carollo's Walnut Creek office. He has 17 years of experience in designing, managing, and providing electrical and instrumentation engineering services for municipal, institutional, and government projects. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Francisco State University.

Kent Von Aspern, P.E. – Walnut Creek, CA
Kent has 29 years of experience in successfully completing a wide range of municipal and industrial civil/sanitary engineering projects. Project emphasis has included the planning, design, and construction of wastewater treatment facilities; infrastructure projects; pumping stations; and force mains, with particular expertise in sewer rehabilitation and trenchless technologies.

James Wickstrom, P.E. – Walnut Creek, CA
James has 15 years of experience in environmental and water resources engineering with an emphasis on wastewater treatment facilities. He has worked on design and construction management projects for numerous wastewater treatment facilities in California. James holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California–Davis and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from University of California–Los Angeles.
