Storm Water Master Plan
Carollo refined and updated a storm drainage master-planning document for Salt Lake City. The project involved the use of the HEC-1 hydrologic model to project runoff hydrographs at key points within these highly urbanized systems. Carollo also evaluated alternative system improvements to verify their effectiveness and prepared cost estimates for proposed improvements. The project included the analysis of BMPs and storm water discharge monitoring. Carollo also performed hundreds of site visits on behalf of the Salt Lake City to evaluate structural controls and facilities that would improve water quality, as well as detect or eliminate illegal discharge points in the system.
