Blue Ribbon

This month we're taking the opportunity to highlight some recent award-winning projects we've heard about recently. Here they are, in no particular order:

  • From Nathan Nutter (Phoenix Office): The City of Phoenix's ASR Well program has received the 2013 National Groundwater Association's (NGWA) Award for Outstanding Groundwater Supply Project. The City's ASR wells are ground breaking on multiple levels (technology, programming, and operation), and this will be a nice feather in the hat for Carollo's work in ASR. Our roles in these projects (2008 - present) have included design, permitting, construction administration (CM@R), commissioning, and continued operational guidance.
  • From Dave Sobeck (Phoenix Office) The Ak-Chin Indian Community's surface water treatment plant, featuring GE's ZeeWeed* 500 advanced treatment technology, was recently honored with the 2013 Water Project of the Year Award from the AZ Water Association. Click here for the full story..
  • From Tom Seacord (Boise Office) Lee County Utilities (Florida) won the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) National Design-Build Award for water/wastewater projects for 2013. In other words, the progressive design build expansion project for the North Lee County Water Treatment Plant beat every other water/wastewater project in the country

Congratulations to all the teams involved with these exciting wins!
