The First Ever AWWA Biotreatment Symposium is Coming!

Think biological processes apply only to wastewater treatment? Think again. More and more drinking water utilities are turning to engineered and passive biological systems to address a broad range of water quality issues.

The 2013 AWWA Biological Treatment Symposium will showcase the latest developments in biotreatment technology, operations, and monitoring strategies and will highlight case studies on how utilities are leveraging nature to solve their drinking water challenges.

To our knowledge, this is the first-ever dedicated biological drinking water treatment symposium, not just in the United States, but anywhere, and Carollo is a big part of it. Jess "Doc" Brown (Sarasota Office) is heading the Symposium Planning Committee, and Carollo researchers will present four papers during the event.
