The VenturaWaterPure Demonstration Facility is part of Ventura Water's (California) commitment to finding solutions for the region's dwindling water supplies. The Demonstration Facility treats wastewater effluent to extremely high purity standards, validating not only the treatment technology used, but the water's potential as a future water supply.
Ventura Water provides tours of the Demonstration Facility to show the public the technology works and answer questions about the water's safety and reliability. Carollo has been working closely with Ventura Water to make the demonstration project a reality, with the hope of expanding this treatment option in the future. And since the drought is on the minds of many in this region, local news stations sent camera crews to talk to the Ventura Water folks about the Demonstration Plant and the future of Ventura's water supplies using treated wastewater.
